Healthy Groceries for a Raw Food Diet omatoes & Peppers for Raw Food Diets

Hi! My name is Denise Bennett and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. We're going to look today. It looks like we've got some nice tomatoes here. These are absolutely beautiful. These are absolutely beautiful. They're probably going to be useable today and maybe tomorrow. Also, keep in mind that the section is refrigerated so that there will be more time that these fruits and vegetables will have before they're past their prime, so that they'll get a chance to sell them. That can throw you off a little bit when you go to squeeze a fruit or vegetable and the coldness itself will give it more plumpness. I've actually done that where I get home is something is completely soft, a plum or whatever. It's not maybe as good as I thought it was in the store. That does throw us off a little bit. These are absolutely beautiful. I would pick these for sure. Now we come to bell pepper. These are red bell peppers. I'm going to show you 2 pretty different ones. This one here, as you can see, is wrinkled and soft. This is not a good bell pepper. You want to get it as firm as possible. This one has gone. This one is much better. There is some wrinkling, but as you can see, you don't want to ever harm something when you're testing to see if you want it. Be careful knowing someone else might buy it. This is much firmer. If I had to choose of course, this would be the one that I would choose. Don't ever buy green. They're not ripe.
